How to pay your rent

At the start of your tenancy, you will receive a rent payment swipe card. You will need this if you want to pay online, by phone, at the post office or by cheque.

 

If you have lost your rent payment swipe card, you can request a new one.

Ways to pay

  • Direct Debit

    Direct Debit is our preferred method of payment and the easiest way for you to pay your rent.

    It’s a simple and safe way to pay your bills automatically from your bank account.  All you have to do is agree with us:

    • the amount you will pay; and
    • the regular date of payment.

    After that your rent plus any agreed amount towards your arrears will be deducted from your account on your chosen date. 

    SW9 Community Housing has a high percentage of residents on Direct Debit - around 55% and this is growing every month.  

    We can set this up for you over the phone. Phone us on 0207 326 3700 and select the 'rent and service charge' option for more information.

     

  • Self Service Portal

    Our new self service portal is an easy way to pay your rent, log a repair, and view communal repairs in your building.

    It is simple to set up and manage your account.  Simply click here to log in to the portal, create a new account and you're away. You can use the portal to view your rent statements going back up to six years.

    With 24 hour access to the portal, you can manage your rent account at your convenience and make sure you keep in credit at all times.

  • Pay online

    You can pay online using your rent payment swipe card, debit card, or credit card. You will need a personal email address to be able to pay this way.

    Log on to the AllPay website and follow the instructions.

  • Payment by phone

    There are two ways of making a rent payment over the phone.

    Call Allpay 

    • Phone 0844 557 8321
    • Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
    • You will need your debit or credit card and your 19-digit payment reference number, which you can find on the back of your rent card

    Call our Housing Office 

    • Phone 0207 326 3700 and select the 'rent and service charge' option
    • Our office is open 9am-5pm Monday, Wednesday & Friday, 10am-5pm Tuesday and 9am-7pm Thursday
    • You will need your debit or credit card and your address details 

    To make payments over the phone you can use Switch, Connect, Visa or MasterCard. You will not be able to use Electron or American Express.

    You will receive a payment authorisation code after you have paid. Please keep this safe.

  • Post Office (or anywhere displaying the PayPoint logo)
  • Standing order

    If you have a bank account, you can pay your rent by standing order using our standing order form.

  • Cheque

    You can pay by cheque at the Post Office, at our office or by mailing the cheque to SW9 Communtiy Housing, 6 Stockwell Park Walk, London, SW9 0FG.

    Please make the cheque payable to SW9 Community Housing.

    On the back of the cheque please write your name, address and the 8 digit reference number found on the front of your rent card.

  • SMS text message

    This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

    You need to register to use this service. Registration is easy and should only take 5 minutes.

    Go to the Allpay website to register for SMS payments.

    Once you’ve registered, all you have to do is send a short text message containing your unique PIN code and how much you would like to pay.

    To pay by SMS, you need:

    • Your Allpay card - you can request the card by completing the Contact us form
    • Your credit or debit card
    • A UK registered mobile phone
  • In person at our office

    You can pay in person at our office by cheque, or using your Allpay card and debit/credit card. Please note that we do not accept cash.

    Our office opening hours are 9am-5pm Monday, Wednesday & Friday, 10am-5pm Tuesday and 9am-7pm Thursday.
