About the role:
The role is a pivotal one within SW9 Community Housing. This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of our housing management organisation that is rich in history with a thriving, vibrant, and diverse community.
As Repairs Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for delivering the professional, flexible and responsive repairs service to SW9 customers behalf of Sovereign Network Group (SNG). You will work as part of the team to deal with customer enquiries by phone or face to face.
About you:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Repairs Coordinator to join our dynamic team on a temporary basis.
To provide administrative and operational support to the team to ensure the effective delivery of the responsive and planned repairs services to tenants and leaseholders across the properties managed by SW9.
A background of responsive repairs, housing and customer service is desirable as we are looking for a someone to hit the ground running. Be customer focused, empathetic, placing our residents at the heart of our daily focus
Education
- A Higher-level standard of education which includes exposure to research skills and data analytical applications commensurate to the role.
Knowledge and skills
- Knowledge of the regulatory requirements of Registered Providers is desirable.
- Demonstrate evidence of building and maintaining effective, productive relationships with key stakeholders.
- Sound knowledge of current and future challenges facing housing as well as an understanding of “third sector” services’ issues and sensitivities.
- Up-to-date knowledge of legislative frameworks, regulatory requirements, and key issues relevant to the post.
- Ability to maintain efficient, effective and secure filling systems.
- Excellent IT and word processing skills and able to compose correspondence on standard issues.
- Ability to work with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to adapt this approach for different audiences.
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a small team.
- Demonstrate a high standard of written skills including report writing and responding professionally to complaints.
- Excellent listening skills to understand issues raised by a wide variety of customers and callers.
- Ability to use initiative while working within guidelines.
- Excellent time management skills and able to prioritise, plan own workload and show flexibility.
- Excellent customer focus and a genuine desire to achieve excellence in all areas of responsibility.
Experience
- Experience of dealing with phone enquiries.
- Excellent analytical skills to identify a range of issues from information gathered.
- Proven ability to work under pressure, adapt to changes in circumstances, and to be resilient and remain optimistic in the face of adversity.
- Experience of managing conflicting views in a confident, assertive, and diplomatic manner.
