The Brixton Blood Donor Centre takes up a prominent position within the local community and is proving to be a valuable asset.
According to a recent article in the local online news, features and listings site, Brixton Buzz, "more than 50,000 lives have been saved or improved in the first year of operation of London’s newest blood donor centre in Brixton, new data from NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) reveals." And over the first year, "Brixton (23%) was second only to the well-established Stratford blood donor centre (27%) as the London site delivering the largest percentage of Black heritage donors."
