As the festive season approaches, there's added pressure to spend on presents and entertaining. It's additionally important that your rent payments are made during this time.
If you miss a payment in December and January, it will mean that you start the new year in arrears.

- Decide how much you can really afford to spend in advance, and stick to your budget.
- Continue to make rent payments as normal.
- Inform all relevant authorities (e.g. DWP) of any change in your circumstances that may affect your benefit entitlement.
