Mental Health Awareness Week is here! (18-24 May)

Between 18-24 May, SW9 will once again be supporting Mental Health Awareness Week.

Now approaching its twentieth year, Mental Health Awareness Week has reached millions of people, raising awareness of key topics such as body image, stress and relationships. The theme this year is ‘kindness’ because of its singular ability to unlock our shared humanity. Kindness strengthens relationships, develops community and deepens solidarity. It is a cornerstone of our individual and collective mental health.

With the national response to Coronavirus continuing, being aware of mental health and the importance of ‘kindness’ has never been so important – not least because of the increased pressures that everyone has been placed under by lockdown.

To find out more about Mental Health Awareness Week, you can visit the Mental Health Foundation website.

If you’re experiencing mental health issues, a wealth of support is available from Lambeth Council.
